Unlike conventional pick light systems that indicate only the shelf where an item is stored, the QuickPick system highlights the specific storage tote or cell. The QuickPick lights brings the operator visually to exactly the right picking point in the carousel. A large Message Center display indicates the quantity of the item to pick for each order. The result is improved throughput speeds and improved order accuracy.
The QuickPick system features a unique optical transfer display that is mounted in a shelf liner placed under each tote. When the horizontal carousel operator requests a specific SKU, the liner under the tote containing the item lights up to indicate the items location. Liners and fiber optic displays can be moved for full system customization and flexibility. These displays can be housed within custom-designed totes for additional flexibility. Additional information can be displayed on the scrolling display for customer or industry-specific needs, such as lot number or part description.
The Remstar QuickPick system is available for new or existing horizontal carousel systems. The traditional Pick Light tower can be eliminated or used as a redundant system in conjunction with the QuickPick pick lights.
