FastPic IC for the Light Sentinel provides controlled access to your tools and parts. Operators can be limited to access by user ID and can be locked out of specific shelf levels. A complete audit of all transactions can be accessed at any time to give visibility to user activity or the location of a specific tool or part.

Provides inventory control and user access to your tools and parts stored in a Remstar Light Sentinel device. Operators can easily retrieve tools or parts from the machine through a user-friendly touch screen interface. If a tool or part is not in the machine, the system can indicate to the operator who lasted checked it out and where it is located.

System Operation:

System Access: An operator scans (option) their employee badge or enters their ID number and pin number on the color touch panel to access the system. All transactions are recorded with software.

Item Retrieval: To retrieve an item/tool, the part or SKU number or description is entered or scanned (option). The unit will rotate to the exact shelf location and the photocell grid will allow the operator to take the tool requested. Violations outside the enabled zone will cause an alarm to sound , and an image of person may be captured and e-mailed to the Light Sentinel supervisor or Tool/Parts Manager.

Item Return: To return an item/tool, the part or SKU number or description is entered or scanned (option). The unit will rotate to the storage location, an indicator light blinks and the photocell grid will allow the operator to place the tool back in its proper location.
