Bagging and Tagging
What:

Bagging and tagging is a value added process in which a counted or measured quantity of a specific SKU is removed from a storage container and placed in a bag, sealed and labeled with information including the SKU number and quantity.

Where:

The bagging and tagging process can be used in any operation where a specified amount of a bulk item is needed to fill an order. The process is most often used in industries that handle small items that have a high value.

Why:

When allowing a customer to order the exact amount of an SKU, and it does not make economic sense to create pre-packaged quantities (kits) of that SKU. This method also prevents small SKUs from being lost or damaged in the packaging and shipping process.
